1 pound ground beef
1 egg beaten
3/4 cup soft breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon freshly minced parsley
1 can (8 ounces) whole cranberry sauce
1/2 cup thick and spicy barbecue sauce
2 jalapeño peppers, minced

Preheat over to 350ºF. Combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, ketchup, and parsley in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Form small (1.5 inch) meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until cooked through, turning meatballs over once after 10 minutes to brown. Drain.

Combine cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, and jalapeño peppers in a sauce pan. Heat until sauce is boiling. Combine cooked meatballs and cranberry sauce in a crock pot (to keep warm), or a chafing dish. Serve with toothpicks.

A pleasant departure from the usual meatball....these are easy to make and always a hit.
