"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 LG cans of Tomatoes or 4 small cans (I try to get tomatoes that are
infused with other ingredients. I.e.: Fire Roasted, or Onion & Garlic)
1 tsp. Whole/ground Cumin to taste (I roast the whole cumin in a sauce pan
for a few minutes before adding to the rest of the ingredients)
1 or 2 Cloves of Garlic (unless you get canned tomatoes infused with garlic)
1 bunch of Cilantro (I just tear off the bottom of the stalks and throw them in)
½ an Onion (same as above, add more if you want)
Jalapeno peppers (these are optional and sometimes hard to judge as far as heat.)
1 – 2 freshly squeezed limes (again to taste)

This recipe is to taste. You can try other ingredients as well!

Directions:
Dump all the ingredients in a Blender and blend until mixed. Taste and add more peppers, lime, garlic, etc. until satisfied!) Makes about 2 quarts
