3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. dark Karo syrup
Salt - dash
Butter - "big dab"
1 c. pecans

Beat above ingredients (except pecans) together, but not too much. Add pecans; pour into a 9" pie crust. Bake at 450 F. for 12 minutes and then 30 minutes at 250 F. (Until middle doesn't shake)
