2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp ginger powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper
4-5 lb brisket, trimmed
1 onion, thinly sliced (from root to tip)
6 bay leaves
1 c salsa (medium)
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c honey
2 c beef broth
water

Directions:
Directions:
Make a dry rub by combining the chili powder, salt, garlic powder, pepper and ginger. Season the raw brisket on both sides and place in a large roasting pan. Bake in a preheated oven (350º) uncovered for 1 hour. Remove from oven and place the onions and bay leaves around the brisket. Combine salsa, soy sauce, and honey and add to the brisket. Add the beef broth and enough water to cover 3/4 of the brisket. Lower the oven temperature to 300º, cover pan tightly with foil and continue cooking for 3 hours or until tender. Reserve the drippings to ladle over brisket.
