2cups raisins
1 cup marg
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cloves and 1/4 tsp allspice
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Boil the raisins in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Let this sit and cool.
Cream margarine, beat in sugar and then add in the eggs and vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients and then add oatmeal. Add all dry ingredients to the wet and mix well. Pour in raisins and walnuts. Use only about a tbsp or so of the water from the raisins so not to make the dough too wet.
Bake 350, 10 - 12 minutes.
