3 large egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 cup superfine sugar to make put into food processor for 30-60 seconds
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup shaved almonds

Directions:
Directions:
preheat oven to 200º

In mixer with whisk attachment beat egg whites on low-medium until foamy. add the cream of tartar and continue to beat the whites until they hold soft peaks. Add the sugar a little at a time and continue to beat on medium-high speed until meringue holds very stiff peaks. Beat in vanilla.
Put meringue in pastry bag and pipe 2 1/2 inch rounds, garnish with almonds.

Bake meringues for approximately 1 1/2 to 1r 3/4 hours turn off the oven and crack the door leave the meringues in the oven to finish drying

Store in dry place.
