Vegetable oil for frying
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 16 oz package hot dogs {your favorite}
1 1/2 cup self rising cornmeal
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3 Tbsp sugar
1 1/4 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat vegetable oil in pan large enough to fry in like dutch oven. Cut hotdogs into 3 pieces, place cornstarch in small bowl, place 1 piece of hotdog on a metal skewer, dredge hotdogs in cornstarch tapping off extra. In large bowl combine the cornmeal, flour and sugar, mix in buttermilk whisking till smooth. Dip hotdogs in batter place in hot oil fry until golden brown about 2 minas. Drain on paper towels.
