2 CUPS QUAKER OATS UNCOOKED
1 1/4 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 CUP BUTTER CHILLED
1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
2/3 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1 1/2 TBSP WATER
1 TSP VANILLA
1 CUP COURSE CHOPPED DRY ROASTED PEANUTS
2 CUP SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE PIECES

LINE 2 COOKIE SHEETS WITH FOIL. COMBINE OATS, FLOUR, AND BAKING POWDER. ADD BUTTER, BLEND WITH ELECTRIC MIXER ON LOW TO MEDIUM SPEED UNTIL CRUMBLY, ADD POWDER SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR, WATER AND VANILLA. MIX UNTIL DOUGH STARTS TO FORM. STIR IN PEANUTS BY HAND. DIVIDE DOUGH IN HALF. WITH ONE HALF, DROP BY LARGE SPOONFULS ONTO COOKIE SHEET; PAT EVENLY INTO 13 X 9 RECTANGLE WITH FLOURED HANDS. WITH SECOND HALF FOLLOW THE SAME INSTRUCTION BUT USE THE SECOND COOKIE SHEET. BAKE 22-25 MINUTES AT 350 DEGREES. ROTATING COOKIE SHEET AFTER 12 MINUTES. WHEN DONE REMOVE COOKIE SHEETS TO WIRE RACKS IMMEDIATELY SPRINKLE 1 CUP CHOCOLATE PIECES EVENLY OVER EACH LARGE COOKIE. LET STAND FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES OR UNTIL CHOCOLATE CAN BE SPREAD EVENLY OVER ENTIRE COOKIE. COOL COMPLETELY; THEN CHILL FOR 15 MINUTES TO SET CHOCOLATE.
