2 tbsp. reduced-fat butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. hot water
9 tbsp. fat-free whipped topping

Directions:
Directions:
In a small mixing bowl, beat butter & sugar until crumbly, about 2 minutes.
Add egg, then molasses, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon & salt; add to butter mixture alternately with water.

Transfer to a 9 in. square baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into squares; garnish with whipped topping.
