Ingredients:
Fried Plantains (Platanos)

2 – 3 Green Plantains

1 plantain masher or a thick brown paper bag

1 cup warm water
2 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Pepper
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder

Directions:
Directions:
Get your oil heated to about 350 degrees (a deep fryer works best)

Mix all the powdered ingredients in the cup of water and set aside.

Peel and slice the plantains. Each slice should be about 1 ½ inch.

Put the cut pieces of plantains in the hot oil until a golden color and remove. Then flatten each plantain. After they are flattened, dip each one in the seasoned water (stir again because the ingredients settle at the bottom) and place on a dish lined well with some paper towels. Let them sit for a few minutes so they are not soggy. Then place them back into the hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove and enjoy. Add salt and pepper as desired.
