1/4 C. butter, melted,plus more for pie dish
3 ripe but firm Bartlett pears,peeled,halved & cored
1/3 C. sugar
1/3 C. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
3 large eggs
3/4 C. milk (I use half n half)
1/4 tsp. salt
Confectioners' Sugar for dusting

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Butter a 9 inch pie dish. Slice pears 1/4 inch thick lengthwise. Arrange slices overlapping slightly, in the dish. In a blender, process the melted butter, sugar, flour, vanilla, eggs, milk,and salt until smooth. Pour the batter over the pears,bake until golden and firm to the touch about 40 - 45 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature..dust with confectioners' sugar.
