1 pound dried apricots
1 pound dried apples
1 pound seedless raisins
1 pound dried peaches
1 pound pitted prunes
1 pound pitted dates
1 pound dried figs
1 pound shelled walnuts
1 pound shelled pecans
1 fresh orange with peel (seeds removed)
1 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put fruits, nuts and orange through food grinder. Or, chop in food processor adding 1 tablespoon of the 1 cup of sugar with each batch. Add sugar mix thoroughly and firmly pack into two 9x5 loaf pans. Cover and place a weight (anything heavy) on top of mixture overnight. Remove weight. Wrap in plastic wrap or foil and store in a cool dark place for 4 - 6 weeks.
Remove from loaf pans and cut in very thin slices
