1 qt. heavy cream
3 1/2 C. sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Mix all together and put in ice cream mixer and mix until done.
This mixture is a little too much for a 5qt. ice cream mixer.

I have added 3/4 of a large bottle of chocolate syrup to make the ice cream chocolate or 3 to 4 large Hersey Milk Chocolate candy bars chopped to make chocolate chip ice cream.

If you make the chocolate chip, freeze the candy bars first and then just put in a food processor and chop to whatever size you want.

You could add any flavoring or fruit you would like.
