Ingredients:
8 oz spaghetti
1/2 stick of butter (4 oz)
1 Tbsp black pepper, freshly ground
3/4 cup Parmesan, freshly grated

Directions:
Cook pasta in salted water until just tender (firm, but not hard, al dente).

While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the freshly ground black pepper. When the butter begins to bubble, remove from heat.

When the pasta is ready, add the pasta to the butter sauce in the saute pan, along with 3 Tbsp of the pasta water (the pasta water has starch that will thicken the sauce). Toss pasta as needed while cooking over medium-high heat until the sauce bubbles and thickens.

Remove from heat and add the Parmesan cheese, tossing until all the ingredients are combined into a creamy sauce.
