4 medium size squash
10 saltine crackers
3 tablespoons chopped onion
2 slices of fried bacon
1/4 cup diced cheese
1/4 teaspoon pepper


Directions:
Directions:
Cover whole squash with water and boil until tender when stuck with a fork. Remove from water and let cool enough to handle. Place in a lightly greased baking pan. On large end of squash cut a circle and scoop out pulp. Put pulp in a bowl and mash. Add other ingredients. Use mixture to fill squash. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Serves four.

Shortcut: You can put the squash in a zip lock bag with 2 teaspoons water. Cut several slits in top of bag. Microwave as for baked potatoes. When done, cut & stuff as above.
