2 cups flour
1/3 cup shortening
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. salt
enough sweet milk to make a soft dough

Directions:
Directions:
Make up and let stand for a while. Roll thin as possible and cut into squares. Use a large container for chicken broth. Drop layers of dumplings into boiling broth and allow to boil over each layer before adding another layer. Cover and cook for 12 minutes. Season with milk and butter if desired. For a thicker sauce flour and milk may be added.
