Ingredients:
Ingredients:
12 egg yolks
6 whole eggs
4 Tbsp. butter (melted)
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 jigger whiskey
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
5or 6 cups of flour

Icing
2 lb powdered sugar
4 tbsp (half stick) butter
3/4 jigger whiskey
11/2 tsp. vanilla
whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add remaining ingredients except flour. Add flour 1 cup at a time until mixture resembles a noodle dough. Roll a small piece of dough into a strip about the size of a pencil, turn ends and pinch together. Allow donuts to sit for 30-60 minutes before frying to allow them to raise. They will feel dry on the top surface. This allows for a much more tender donut. Fry in shortening at 350 degrees until light brown turning once.

Icing
Mix all ingredients until desired glaze consistency.

Personal Notes:
I use my large mixer and mix the first ingredients with mixer, then add the last flour with my dough hook. Roll out all the dough then let it sit before frying as it allows the dough to raise. Don't over cook.
We like a thicker icing. Dip scawela in icing and put several on a kabob skewer over another bowl to let excess drip off
