1-cup shortening (Crisco)
1 3/4-cup sugar
5-eggs
2-cups sifted cake flour
1/8-tsp. salt
1 1/2- tbsp. vanilla flavoring
5-tbsp. fresh or frozen orange juice


FROSTING:
1 1/2- cups confection sugar
3/4-cups chopped marachino cherries and juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add one egg and two tablespoons flour mix well continue alternating egg and flour until all are mixed well. Add salt,flavoring, and orange juice mix well. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. When done remove from oven and frost while warm.

Frosting:
Mix confection sugar and cherries together add cherry juice little at a time until consistency you want (thin or thick).
