5 cups milk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup butter
12 ounces Buddig beef, in packages hanging in deli section

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large skillet, then add flour to make a roux. Cook a minute or two. Add the milk slowly, whisking all the while you are pouring. Add salt, pepper and chopped up beef. Cook until thick and bubbly. Spoon over toast. We always have peas with this.

We had this so often as kids. I have always loved it as did my Dad. It's a good and cheap meal to fix. Dave said the Navy called is S.O.S. (sh## on a shingle)
