1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup cocoa (sifted to remove lumps)
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup milk + 1/2 cup milk (homo or 2% is best)
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs unbeaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl mix together brown and white sugar.
Blend in butter.
Mix flour, salt, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
Add flour mixture and 3/4 cup milk into butter mixture.
Blend well.
Then add 3 eggs, I/2 cup milk, and vanilla and blend well.
Pour in a greased 11 X 13 inch pan and bake at 350 º F until done. (test to see if a tooth pick come out clean).

Can be made in two 8 or 9 inch round pans for a layer cake. Be sure to grease the pans and line with greased wax or parchment paper to ensure the cakes are easy to remove from the pans. Is good with date filling.
