4 large yellow onions
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
6 cups beef broth
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
French bread sliced
2 cups shredded white cheese either mozzarella, provolone, swiss etc.

Directions:
Directions:
Slice onions and brown in butter in a large pot. Stir in flour. Add beef broth. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add Worcestershire, salt and pepper to taste. Place a slice of french bread in each bowl, then ladle in soup.Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese. Place bowls on cookie sheet and broil about 3 minutes till cheese is melted.
