1 T butter
1 T olive oil
1 small chopped onion
1 green pepper, diced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2- 1 lb chopped meat ( round steak)
1 small can tomato paste
2 lg cans tomato sauce
nutmeg, a dash
oregano
bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Saute the onion & green pepper in the butter and oil until softened ; add the ground meat and cook until the meat is browned.
Liquidate the tomato paste with a glass of water and add with the tomato sauce. Add salt and pepper, garlic, a dash of nutmeg, oregano, and 2 bay leaves. Cook on low flame for about an hour and a half.

My Mom was Irish and her spaghetti sauce was delicious. I still make it 'her way' most of the time.
