2 1/2 to 3 cups canned tomatoes with juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 thin slices of firm bread
3 T butter or margarine
ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix tomatoes and sugar and pour into a buttered loaf dish. Break bread into quarters and punch down into the tomatoes. Slice butter thinly and dot the top of the dish. Sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon. Bake in slow 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until the consistency of pudding. Push bread down frequently with a spoon.

This is the perfect side dish with almost any meat or fowl, but is really fabulous with pork.
