1 cup butter (real is best)
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Mix wet ingredients then add dry. Press out in holiday shapes with cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for 6-9 minutes. These are small and don't take long to bake. Just till set, not brown. Sprinkle with red and green sugar, let the kids do this part.

Spritz...they can be so easy, yet so difficult...depending on the dough consistency coming out of the press. I have been making them since I was a young teenager, my sister Kris, taught me how. You have to have Spritz, but it's a love/hate thing. Kid's love watching these come out of the press, but please don't curse in front of the children :)
