1 cup margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon hot water
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
14 ounces chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream margarine, sugars, and eggs.
2. Dissolve soda in hot water and add to cream mixture.
3. Stir in flour and salt, nuts, chips, and vanilla.
4. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
5. Bake in oven 350°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Additional Comments:
Can be chilled overnight.
