1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. nutmeats (chopped nuts)
1/2 lb. glace cherries
1/2 lb. glace pineapples, cut
4 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Oven - 250º.

Beat eggs, add sugar. Dredge fruit and nuts with flour, salt, baking powder. Add these to sugar and eggs. Bake in greased tins. Makes 3 or 4 small cakes.

Test with toothpick.
Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Place pan of hot water in bottom of oven. Line pans with greased brown paper. Pour in jigger of wine and store in cool place.
