2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon cooking oil
4 cups flour (cake and pastry)
5 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, milk, and oil.
2. Sift flour and baking powder.
3. Add flour to milk mixture. Blend. Let chill for 1/2 hour.
4. Roll the dough lengthwise. Cut into pieces.
5. Roll anko (See “Anko” recipe) into small balls. Cover with manju dough.
6. Steam approximately 9 to 10 minutes over boiling steam water.
