2 T. butter
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. chopped onion
1 lb. mushrooms sliced about 5 cups
8 oz. smoked ham diced
4-5 tsp. curry powder
30 oz. chicken or vegetable broth
14 1/2 oz, diced flavored tomatoes
1/2 c. quick cooking barley

In a large saucepan melt butter and add carrots and onions. Sir occasionally until carrots are nearly crisp-tender about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms cook until their tender add ham, curry, broth, tomatoes and barley. Simmer for about 20 minutes
