15 ounces of chickpeas drained
1 small onion chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley
3 cloves of garlic chopped
1 egg
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp of fresh lemon juice
pinch of garlic and chili pepper
1 T olive oil
1 cup of Italian bread crumbs
1 6 ounce Greek plain yogurt
1/2 cucumber peeled, seeded and finely chopped
1 tsp dill weed
1 T mayonnaise

Directions:

Mash chickpeas in a bowl and set aside. In a food processor add onion, parsley and garlic until smooth. Stir into mashed chickpeas.

In another bowl combine egg, cumin coriander salt, pepper garlic & chili spice, lemon juice. Fold in chickpea mixture with olive oil and slowly add bread crumbs. Mixture should be able to hold together. adding more or less bread crumbs. Form into 8 to 10 balls. Heat some olive oil in a large frying pan and cook balls until brown on all sides. To make the sauce add yogurt, cucumber, dill salt and pepper and mayonnaise.
