1 large head cabbage, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 carrot, shredded
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. white vinegar
1-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Directions:

Boil vinegar, salt, sugar and water until sugar dissolves.
Mix other ingredients.
Pour liquids over mixture.
Put in containers and freeze
Will be crisp when thawed!

This recipe came from Aunt Eleanor Jones Bledsoe. It was on a postcard mailed to her, 28 Sep, 1992 from Mom (Ida L Brown). djp

I made this recipe and took on a picnic with Florida neighbors. When thawed, it had miraculously changed into whiskey sour slush! Whatsit about the water and wine? ilb Mom, they make markers for plastic containers. djp
