"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box Honey Nut Cheerios
1 box Rice Chex
1 box Corn Chex
1 box Crispix Cereal
2 cans Cashew Nuts
1/2 cup bacon drippings (optional)
4 sticks butter or margarine
4 tsp. garlic salt
2 T seasoned salt
2 T garlic powder
About 10 drops of Tabasco Sauce
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tsp. onion powder
15 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce = 1/3 cup

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the cereals and nuts together, mixing well with your hands in a very large container. I use a large enamel pan used for canning.
Melt margarine or butter and bacon drippings. Add the seasonings and stir well. Heat until mixed but do not boil.
Slowly pour the butter/seasonings mixture over the cereals/nuts, stirring often with a large wooden spoon. Be gentle with the stirring, as you do not want to crush the cereals. Try to coat the cereals evenly.
Bake uncovered in a 250º oven for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes from the bottom to the top with the large wooden spoon. When the gloss of the butter is off the cereal then you will know it is done. You don't want the cereals to be soggy.
Cool and store in air-tight containers or Zip-Lok bags.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The base of this recipe came from talk show host Steve Gill's Mom. However, I changed up some of the cereals, most of the spices, and added LOTS of Worcestershire Sauce. WARNING!!! This Chex Mix is addictive.
