1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp baking soda
1 T sour milk OR orange juice
2 eggs, well beaten
3 mashed, ripe bananas
2 c. flour
1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Stir soda into sour milk or orange juice. Add eggs, bananas, soda mixture and flour, beating thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Pour into a buttered loaf pan. Bake in a 350 ºF oven for 1 hour. Cool before slicing. Freezes well. Makes one loaf.
