1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1-1/2 cups plus 1 tsp. apple sauce
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups raisins
2 cups nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugars, eggs, and milk. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture. Add apple sauce, oatmeal, raisins, nuts to mixture. Mix all together thoroughly. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 370º until done.
