2-1/4 cups Flour
1-1/3 cups Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Shortening
1/4 cup Cherry Juice
16 chopped Cherries
1/2 cup Milk
3 Egg whites
1/2 cup chopped Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add shortening, cherry juice, chopped cherries, and milk. Mix Well. Fold in 3 beaten egg whites and chopped walnuts. Bake at 350 º until done.
