1/2 gal. apple cider
1 apple
2 tsp. whole cloves
1 orange, thinly sliced
Pinch nutmeg
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch allspice
1 c. dark rum (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the apple in half and stick the whole cloves into the apple. In a crock pot, combine all of the ingredients over high heat. Ladle into mugs when hot.

Discard the apples after the cider gets hot (the cloves might become overpowering)
I like to serve the rum on the side so people can spike their own drinks.
