2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening (lard)
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
mix flour, salt and baking powder. cut in shortening with a fork or dough cutter. add milk slowly until soft dough forms. turn out onto floured surface, knead for a few turns. roll to 2/3 in. cut with biscuit cutter.

Bake 450º for 12 - 15 minutes. you can put a pat of butter on each one so it browns nicely.
