1 pkg. hash brown potatoes
4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
6 large green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1 large clove garlic; crushed
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
1 can (15oz.) tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Cover potatoes with boiling water in 2 ½ qt. bowl; stir in 1 tsp. salt. Let stand uncovered for 15 min; drain thoroughly. Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove seeds and membranes, rinse. Finely chop slices. Mix ground beef, chopped green pepper, garlic, basil, salt, the pepper, and 1 cup of the tomato sauce. Stir in potatoes. Lightly stuff each green pepper. Stand stuffed peppers upright in ungreased 3 qt. round casserole. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 min.
