1/2 c. Crisco
2 T. cocoa
2 eggs
1 c. milk
3/4 c. plain flour
1-1/2 c. self-rising flour
1-1/2 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring
1 T. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Then add cocoa, coloring, vanilla and vinegar to the creamed sugar and Crisco. Add milk and flour. Bake in 3 greased, wax paper lined pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cake must be thoroughly cooled(at least 4 hours) before frosting.
Icing:
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box confectioners sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. chopped pecans
Mix well and fill 3 layers
