8 slices bread
½ lb. of bacon, fried to a light crispiness (more or less to taste)
16 lettuce leaves, trimmed, or ½ head lettuce
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced thin
¼ cup light mayonnaise

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly salt and heavily pepper both sides of tomato slices.

Toast bread.

Lightly apply mayonnaise to one side of each slice of bread.

Place 4 slices bacon on ½ of the bread slices.

Add 2 lettuce leaves.

Add 4 tomato slices

Top with remaining bread.

Slice sandwiches in half, making triangles.

Serve immediately.

This is perhaps the best sandwich ever. Once you eat one of these, you will be forever disappointed with any other BLT.
