1 quart apples
1 stick butter or margarine
1 to 1 11/2 cups sugar

Directions:
Wash, core, partially peel and quarter apples. Melt butter and sugar in a large pan. Add apples. Boil lightly for 30 - 45 mins.

We ate at the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone North Carolina in October 1988. The leaves were beautiful and the food was great too.
