pkg. frozen spinach, defrosted and drained well.
8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese at room temperature
8 oz. sour cream
small can water chestnuts, drained and minced
4 slices cooked bacon crumbled (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
round loaf of bread, hollowed out and save bread cubes to dip or for other use
crackers

Combine all ingredients in a microwaveable bowl for two minutes until hot. Scoop into hollowed out bread bowl. Serve with reserved bread cubes and crackers. Later, you can cut up the bread bowl and use for mini sandwiches. This recipe was a favorite of Christine Marsala Durham.
