3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
1/2 c. molasses
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp.cinnamon
1 6 oz. pkg (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Oven - 375º.

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and molasses. Mix and sift flour, baking soda, and spices. Mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 min.
