2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg yeast
1/2 c. undiluted Pet Milk
1 tsp. almond extract

Topping:
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. crushed corn flakes
1/3 c. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Oven - 350º.
Sift flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs. Soften yeast in milk; add extract. Stir into dry ingredients. Roll out on floured board - 12 x 10" rectangle. Let stand 20 to 25 min.

Brush dough with undiluted milk. Spread with cereal nut topping, pressing firmly into dough.

Cut into 2 inch squares. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 min.
