Cornbread:
1 1/3 c. flour
2/3 + 1/2 c. cornmeal
1/3-2/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. milk
5 T. melted butter
1 small egg, beaten

Dressing:
1 chopped onion
butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
dash red pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. tarragon
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 2/3 c. milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. chopped celery

Cornbread: Mix dry and wet ingredients separately, and then combine. Bake at 350º for 55 min.

Dressing:
Saute onion in butter. Add seasonings. Pour in 1 1/2 c. chicken broth. Cook 2 min. over low to medium heat. Mix milk and eggs. Add to chicken broth, seasonings, and onions. Add cornbread and mix. Add chopped celery.

Bake 35-40 min. at 350º in a 13 x 9" greased pan.
