2 c. sugar
1/2 c. syrup
1/2 c. water
Dash Salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 2 cups sugar into 1/2 c. syrup and 1/2 c. water and dash of salt until dissolved.
Boil to 240º.
Slowly pour 1/3 over 2 stiff beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup to very hard boil stage (265º). (Test: Add several drops to water.)
Beat syrup into candy mixture, continue beating.
When mixture holds shape when dropped from spoon, add 1 tsp. vanilla.
Drop from tsp. onto waxed paper.
