1 lb of ground beef
1/3 pkg dried Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix;
a few drops/dollops worcheshire sauce
a few drops of liquid smoke ( I prefer hickory but you can try mesquite)
A few shakes of garlic powder
A little salt (Lipton soup is already salty)
ground pepper to taste
A few tablespoons of water to soften/loosen meat

Directions:

Crush the dry soup with your fingers while it is still in closed pkg.
Mix all ingredients with clean hands.
Make into 4 -5 patties.
Fry or grill on hot/ high till juices just run clear.

It helps to push in the center of patty before frying or grilling.
Once I turn the patties and they start to brown on the second side, I turn down the heat to medium.
You can add different spices or ketchup and/ or stuff cheese in the middle then close up around it before cooking.
