2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
8-9 cups flour, sifted
2 Tbsp. baking powder

1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and gradually beat in sugar. beat eggs until light; add to butter mixture and beat thoroughly. Add vanilla. Sift flour and baking powder. Carefully blend into butter-egg mixture to make a soft dough. Shape dough with lightly floured hands into desired shapes (figure 8's, twists, s's, etc.) Arrange on cookie sheets. Brush cookies with beaten egg mixed with water. Bake in a 375º oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

These are the best cookies in the world. You can eat a million of them. They are completely addictive and sooooo yummy! They are also very simple cookies and taste great dipped in coffee.
