"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 small can green chilies
1 can (1.5 cups) artichoke hearts
1.5 cups Mayonnaise (don’t use light mayonnaise…it doesn’t work and the ingredients separate)
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 tablespoon dried red pepper flakes
1 small jar (1/4 cup) pimentos
1 tablespoons garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.

With a hand-held mixer (see photo), blend all of the ingredients together, or put all ingredients in a food processor and buzz until mixed up.

Pour into an oven-safe pie tin or baking dish.

Bake at 375° until bubbly (about 20 minutes) and then broil for just a few minutes until the top is light brown. Watch closely while broiling so you don’t overdo it.

Take the dip out of the oven and let it settle for a few minutes.

Serve with pita chips, sliced baked baguette or anything yummy.
And now that you’ve found a “pot-no-luck-necessary” dish, you can make your block party even more meaningful.
