Ingredients:
Any bread dough recipe or frozen bread dough thawed
yellow, red, and green food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
For one large pumpkin. Remove a walnut size piece of dough for stem. Form a smooth ball with remaining dough and squeeze at the middle of the ball to make it stand as tall as possible. Place ball of dough for stem on the top and secure with a toothpick. Cover with clean cloth and let rise. Meanwhile in a small bowl mix 2 Tbsp water with 30 drops of yellow and 6 drops of red food coloring. Transfer half a teaspoon of the mixture to a small saucer and stir in 1 drop of green food color. Use a small pastry brush to paint the stem green, making sure the brush is not too wet. Now apply the orange to the pumpkin using long soft strokes. Let dry two minutes. With a sharp knife, score the dough from stem to bottom, creating the grooves in a pumpkin. The grooves will show more after it is baked. Bake at 375º for about 45 minutes. You can make smaller loaves, just bake a little less.

These turn out so beautifully, and are impressive to bring as a hostess gift or on any harvest or Halloween table.
