GLAZE/CRUST
1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 T melted butter
1 T corn syrup
1/4 c pecan halves
15 oz. refrigerated pie crust
1 tsp. flour

FILLING
2/3 c sugar
2 T flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 c peeled/sliced apples

In 9-inch pie pan, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup and spread evenly over bottom of pan. Arrange pecans over mixture in pan. Prepare pie crust according to directions for a 2 crust pie. Place bottom crust over mixture in pan. Heat oven to 425º.

In small bowl, combine sugar, 2 T flour and cinnamon. Mix well. Arrange half apple slices in pie crust, sprinkle with half sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining apple slices and sugar mixture. Top with 2nd crust, seal and flute. Cut slits in several places. Bake at 425º for 8 minutes the reduce temp to 375º and bake for 25 - 35 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. (Place pan on foil or cookie sheet) Loosen edge of pie and carefully invert onto (non glass) serving plate. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
